Five Villages, One City, No Centre

Vaughan was assembled out of places that already existed before any weed delivery ran here, and the seams never disappeared. Woodbridge has a main street and its own weed delivery rhythm. Kleinburg has a main street. Maple has a main street. Thornhill has one it shares with Markham, and orders there behave differently again. The Vaughan Circuit, Village by Village

Seven delivery stops in Vaughan, and the difference between each area is not cosmetic.

Woodbridge

The biggest of the old villages, west side, Islington Avenue through the middle of it. Older detached homes, a real main street around Market Lane, the busiest pocket of weed orders we cover, and the densest concentration of delivery requests we get in the city. Kleinburg and Nashville

Wonderland Season, the 400, and Your Delivery Window

From late spring through the end of October, Canada’s Wonderland changes the shape of a Vaughan evening. Jane Street and the 400 interchanges around it get heavy on park days, and Vaughan Mills adds its own weekend load a little further north. It is not dramatic and it does not stop a delivery, but it is the single most predictable reason a Maple or Vellore weed delivery lands at the back of its window rather than the front on a Saturday in July.

The other one is the 407 and Highway 7 at weekday rush. Concord and the Metropolitan Centre are quick for delivery at eight in the evening and slow at half past five. Winter is the quieter variable. The subdivisions north of Rutherford get ploughed after the arterials, so the last hundred metres of a Vellore or Patterson street can be the slowest part of the run.
